Eliminate the weakest link

We are as strong as our weakest link.

In SAF, we espouse that “we leave no man behind’. This is our cohesion. But to be part of SAF in the first place requires the member to be on average the fittest and bestest. That is how SAF can be the best.

However, in a workplace, our weakest link is not the fittest. Worst is when there is personality and character clash. In this case, HR made a big mistake and we are stuck with the problem.

As managers, we can try to recondition our weakest links by motivation, training, and understanding their aspiration, needs and problems. However, there should be a time when time is up and resources spent that we need to eliminate hopeless links from our team. This is the worst experience ever for a manager, but good for the team.

Just a reminder.
